First: I don't really participate in April Fools Jokes. I used to. Just don't, anymore. Not sure why. I like a good practical joke. Did you have/experience any good ones?
Second: Handsome comes home today from training all week, and I am P-U-M-P pumped!
Thirdly: I went to the gym today for the first time in... oh, 4 weeks? I'm going to be sore tomorrow, but I really enjoyed working out.
Fourthly: I didn't mean to make my list this long, but while I'm at it, I got out of a research meeting today, which makes me want to jump for joy
Finally: Its time again for me to plan out my Menu for the week, put it up on here, figure out what I need to buy, and go grocery shopping. You may not enjoy this so much, but it worked SO well for me last time, I'm doing it again. But I'll put it below the fold, so you don't have to watch if you don't want to :)
Friday: Pepperoni Bread & Coconut Oatmeal Crispy Cookies. Two recipes I think Handsome will really enjoy.
Saturday: Stuffed French Toast for breakfast, and later SouthWest Chicken EggRolls. I'm making a double batch because (1) We go through these quickly and (2) It never uses up enough of the eggroll wrappers. Also, I'm using the blackberry preserves in my fridge for the toast, rather than the blueberries still at the store. 'Cause thats how I roll.
Sunday: Beef Stew Done Right (which in my world means served with crusty bread and prepared without any hint of tomatoes). I'm going crock pot style on this one, which always makes me feel special.
Monday: Left Overs Most Likely
Tuesday: Pancakes for breakfast & White Lasagna for dinner I always wanted to make white lasagna. Hopefully by this time next week, I can scratch that one off my list.
Wednesday: BBQ Chicken Pizza. Same one from last Tuesday or whatnot. I haven't gotten a round tuit yet, so I'm just moving it onto the next week.
And that should get us at least until next week's deals come out. I try to plan my menu around (a) Whats still in our freezer/cupboards/fridge, and (b) What meat is on sale at the store. I've read some blogs that suggest having a meat-less meal here & there, and while thats fine for me, Handsome's got a lot of work to do in a day, and that just won't cut it for him. Oh, Ok. And its not always fine for me (I like a good steak/chicken breast/pork loin/bacon, what can I say?)
So now I've made this list, its time to shower (please disregard the time stamp on this post, I'm sure its incorrect) and then head to 3 different stores with my coupons to try and return with all the right food at the right price.
About to go shopping while hungry,
