That's how I know. Apples + Me = Luv. 4eva. Today, I went to the apple festival, which was pretty much a marriage ceremony for me & apples.
Aaand that's all the further I'm going to take that metaphor. The end.
Do you know what this is?? Love in a cup. Others call it an Apple Cider Slushie. For realz, people, it was everything you could hope it would be. Just tasted like apple cider, but it was a slushie. I love slushies. And apple cider. Hence my name for it, Love in a cup. Because it was in a cup, and I love it. Thanks for letting me spell that out for you.
I also bought some Honey Crisp Apples today, and documented my eating the first one of the season. I only got to the third bite before I realized (1) taking pictures of eating an apple makes eating an apple take a long time and (2) no one is going to want to look at pictures of an apple with bites out of it. So I'm showing them to you anyhow. I was so happy.
I tried to will it to be fall today, seeing as how it's September and all. My methods include Fall-scented candles, Fall foods, and, today, Fall clothing. It may make me seem a bit touched in the head to attempt to make it be fall by wearing Fall clothing when it's 91* out, but I swear, it's worked before! Think about it with me, if I wear Fall clothing long enough, it does become the season. I just get to think that I had a little something to do with it. I'm kind of a big deal.
Finally, I want to tell you a little story about Handsome. It's short. And relatively pointless. I just want to record it for posterity. One night, we were having confession time with some friends. Handsome's confession was that sometimes, he eats the whole apple, core and all. Just munches right down on it like a horse. Why does he do this? Because he doesn't feel like getting up and walking to the garbage can to throw it away, so he prefers to eat it.
Today, after eating my first HCA of the season, I considered the possibility. Instead, I decided to leave it for some wandering deer-friend to find. Because not only am I a big deal, but I'm also generous like that.
Nom nom nom,
